Assets

  • Choose an asset type from the left menu for which you want to create an asset.
  • Example:Cabs (Truck is Asset type created)

  • Click on "+ Create Cabs" to create a new asset.*

  • Select the field group, for example "Info".

  • The image below displays two fields.

  1. Car Number
  2. Model
  • Enter the values in the first field group and then move on to the next field group to continue entering values.
  • Once you have finished entering the values, click on the "Save" button.

  • If the "Is Repeatable" checkbox is selected for an Asset Type, then in the Create Asset page, there will be an 'Add button' which can be used to add multiple fields.

Linking Asset to Organization unit

  • Click on Link Organization Unit
  • Select the required organization.
  • Once all the necessary values are input, click on the "Save" button to save an asset.

Excel Operations

  • To download the Asset details, you can click on the "Export to Excel" button.

  • To download the sample import file, click on the "Click Here" link and input the required data.
  • The "Import to Excel" popup page will be displayed when the user clicks on the "Import to Excel" button.
  • Click on "Browse",to Upload a file from your System.
  • Select the sample import file for that particular asset.
  • After clicking on "Open", click on the "Upload" button to upload the file.

Search

  • To search for specific information, you can either use the search bar or access advanced search filters by clicking on "Show Advanced Filters".
  • In the advanced filter section, you can specify details such as
    1. Asset Name
    2. Active
    3. Created Date (From and To)
    4. Device name
  • To hide the Advanced filter, simply click on the "Hide advanced filters" button.

Actions

1.Clone

To create an exact copy of an asset, click on the "Clone" option. As shown in the image below, the asset named "Truck 1" has been cloned and saved as "Truck 1- Copy".

2.Print

  • Click on the "Print" option to see the 'Print Preview' page.

  • Click on the 'print button' to see the print pop-up page

3.View

To view the assets, select the "View" option to navigate to the Assets View page.

Device Info Tab

  • If the Asset is not linked with any device then click on "Link Device" and select the device that needs to be linked.

  • Device Info has the following tabs

    Map Tab:

    • In this tab you can mark boundary[Geo fencing] for the assets, so that user can track the Asset.

    • Click on "Draw a Shape" option to create the geo fencing.

    • Once the geo fence is marked click on the "Stop drawing" option.

  • In the below image you can see that the geo fence is created for place called Bengaluru. [This is just an example user can create Geo fencing according tho their requirement.]

Last Reported Values Tab:

Under the "Last reported Values" tab, you can find the values reported by the device in its latest report.

Alarms Tab: The Alarms tab lists the triggered alarms when the asset moves beyond the marked area (Geo fence).

Linked assets Tab: To select an asset, click on the "Select asset type" dropdown.

  • From the drop-down user has selected asset type "Truck" [It's just an example]

  • Once the user select the Asset type then we can see that that selected asset Truck is listed Under "Available assets".

  • From the "Available assets" select the asset to move to "Selected Assets".

  • In between "Available assets" and "Selected Assets" we will see the arrow icons to move the asset back and forth.

Configuration Tab: According to the requirement user can "set values", and the current value is reported by the Device.

When creating a Device type with 'edge visualizer' json file then only 'Downtime Reasons' & 'Rejection Reasons' properties will display in the configuration tab.

Commands

Dispense Fuel: Select this command to select Asset , Control By and values ans set values to Device.

Firmware Update: Select this option to update the version.

Reboot : Select this option to reboot the Device

Reset : Select this option for resetting the Device.

Asset data upload Tab

  • Click on the "Excel operations" then select "Upload data".
  • To upload a file, click on the "Browse" button to select the desired file, and then click on the "Open" button.
  • Note: Only .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .json file type are allowed.
  • Select the tag from dropdown.
  • Click on "Upload"

  • Once the file is uploaded the user can see this files listed like this.
  • User can filter files by choosing Tag.

  • If the user want to delete any uploaded files then click on the check box to select the file and then click on delete option.

  • Note: User can delete single file and multiple files by selecting them.

4.Edit

  • To edit an asset, select the "Edit" option from the "Actions" button.

  • Update the relevant fields and then click on "Save".

5.Delete

  • To remove a specific Asset, select the "Delete" option.

  • Confirm the action by clicking on "Yes".

In this document
